Rheoencephalography

Rheoencephalography (REG) – is a non-invasive, safe and unpainful method, which allows monitoring of cerebral blood flow, is based on registration of the changing value of electrical resistance of the tissue while application of low current of high frequency.

Indications for rheoencephalography:

  • headaches;
  • faintness;
  • tinnitus;
  • memory impairments;
  • collapse and precollaptoid state;
  • atherosclerosis;
  • arterial hypertension;
  • cerebrocranial injury;
  • vertebrobasilar insufficiency;
  • cervical osteochondrosis.

REG gives information about:

  • brain blood filling depth;
  • bottles tonus and compliance condition;
  • rate of venous drainage from the cavity of skull;
  • brain vessels disease;
  • cerebral circulation in postoperative period and in case of cerebrocranial injury.
